Vermont Lake Monsters Baseball
The first baseball field opened in 1904 as part of the University of Vermont in Burlington. There are now two fields – the baseball field is home to the Vermont Lake Monsters, while the other field is used for Soccer and Lacrosse. Centennial Field is one of the oldest minor league parks still in use and in excellent condition! Centennial Field has been home to many players who advanced to the major leagues from minor league baseball. Among the greats to call the ballpark home include Larry Gardner, Ray Collins, Ralph Lapointe, Kirk McCaskill, Barry Larkin, Jeff Montgomery, Rob Dibble, Chris Sabo, Lenny Harris, Norm Charlton, Ken Griffey, Jr., Omar Vizquel, Orlando Cabrera, Milton Bradley and Jason Bay.
